 The Mayer Quarter Horse Ranch did not get it's start without the hardwork of myself Al Mayer and my wife Dorothy. We have kids that have long grown up and moved out of state to chase different career opportunities. We have another kid, Travis Nannenga that's been around here for many years and has really taking to the equine industry and has been a huge part in keeping the ranch a successful horse operation. I've been around horses all my life and purchased my first registered quarter horse mares in 1948, and continue to raise and breed horses. My operation has grown considerably larger over the years. For many years our breeding herd consisted of one hundred broodmares and five stallions. It's been our life's work to breed and promote quality breeding stock and performance horses.
